It is deemed very reasonable to expect evidence that supports such a claim.
I understand that in authoritarian countries, the prefered narrative takes priority over the factual series of events.

I have to remind myself, that not all cultures accept truth as the baseline for intellectual debate.

There is a clear pattern of pro-authoritarians, that post fake narratives, don't provide evidence and then denigrate those who challenge them.

A sure sign of insecurity

It doesn't matter what kind of government you are, whether Authoritarian , Democratic , Communist etc etc.

All cultures accept and seek for truth. It is alot easier to see the truth in an Authoritarian country because you know your leader is an absolute asshole , than a democratically elected government in our current times.
It is a lot easier to topple an authoritarian government if the people have the will to, then a two party democratic system , i.e the United States.
