Exactly, he's not a moderate. He's a conservative.

I think Pete would have a better shot against Trump than most think. It wouldn't be quite the JFK effect, but put a young, smart, well-spoken guy next to Trump, who is old, curmudgeon, and sloppy, and the contrast could be stark.
Pete looks like a pudgy mangy rodent. Kennedy effect would not work for him. Trump has that beautiful orange glow.
