The election was effectively decided by about 70,000 votes in 3 states. The Russians (by means of troll farms) had a massive influence in creating social media posts/memes that sowed discord throughout the election process... i mean you had people showing up to fake rallies (in texas i believe? Or florida?) that were organized by russians... and you had people like Don Jr. (And others, like the Gorka's and such) literally retweeting russian propoganda... facebook admitted millions of people saw Russian facebook ads that they (the facebook users) didn't even know were Russian ads. I don't think it's a stretch of imagination to think that 70,000 votes were influenced by Russian propoganda/social media presence.

The reason why i go with a 4 and not 5 is that Comey had a big effect as well i believe (amongst other things), but i think Russia and Comey together more than likely swung it to a Trump victory.
