She hammers this point, creating the illusion that it is a foregone conclusion. As we know, it is far from that. It is actually one of the central conflicts in the situation.

If the 'protesters' thought that Chauvin would get what's coming to him, then we wouldn't even be in this situation at all. But it's because of situations like Eric Garner and Amadou Diallo that waiting for the verdict is does NOT work.
