What’s really going on out there? Who has a prediction of what will happen next? I love when you guys include insights, some good back up info- actual info exchange
Since the evac of Kherson city, back to looking at the slow slog of positional warfare and clobbering each other with thousands of shells a day. Some claims that Ukraine is having problems re-deploying forces out of Kherson towards Zap, where the Russians are making a push.
Russia has been making relatively quick work developing positions around Vugledar. Relatively as in slowly rather than very slowly.
No changes over the last week around Avdeevka AFAICT.
Bakhmut seems mostly stable, minor advances for Russia.
Ukraine continues to do 21st century human wave attacks against the Svatovo-Kreminna line without much if anything to show for it. Some Russian reports of refusal to fight from the Ukrainian side, with Azov-types dispatched to enforce discipline. That's the second time I've seen such a report for this area, last time it was claimed some foreign (Polish) mercs got into a shooting fight with the Ukrainians over refusal to fight.
Edit: Also worth mentioning that the Russian missile attacks on wider Ukraine have stepped up heavily the past few days. Two Ukrainian nuclear plants have been forced to temporarily shut down due to their backup power being interrupted (Russia is not directly attacking the plants, because they aren't lunatics). Missiles have also been hitting rail depots heavily, which combined with power hits goes a ways towards supporting the claims of Ukrainian re-deployment issues.
