Is it full time employment?

That's a good point - the post-great-recession job growth has indeed been accompanied by stagnant wages in almost every Western country.
At the end of the day, for political/electoral purposes, I think wage growth for the bottom 90% is a better indicator than the unemployment rate.

Here at least wages are lower than inflation and most people are in part time gigs.

The thing is... unemployment is a lagging indicator of the economy. Unemployment being at its low point of the economic cycle leaves the door open for the economy to sour within the next 12 months. I consider it unlikely, but a recession is not off the table yet.

Regarding Trump's reelection prospects: a strong economy is usually affecting a president's approval ratings. Given the state of the economy, one would expect a president to have much better approval ratings than Trump currently does. So either the economy is baked in in these numbers and Trump would have even worse numbers without the strong economy, or people dont care because he's so goddamn polarizing. Either way, I wouldnt consider it a given that Trump wins if the economy holds. If there's one president capable of losing reelection despite record low unemployment, it's Trump.

So if the economy holds, I would consider him a decent favorite to win reelection, but imho, it would still be no sure bet at all.

A recession is coming, will be mild.

We are looking to buy a house and are thinking about waiting until our money is worth more.

I agree that a recession is coming, but I'm not sure it's imminent. Might as well hold another 2 years.

Either way, I believe that the next recession will not be mild, it'll be absolutely brutal, worse than the 2008 recession.

Everybody was saying this in 2008 but not a lot of people thing this is going to be very big. Most economist agree it will be mild. But there are some folks who say a long slog is coming.

I was poor in the beginning of 2008 and at the end of it all. If your broke like many Americans it doesn't matter if there is a recession in terms of quality of life or type of daily activity.

I'm glad I have specialized skills that are nonphysical in nature at this point. I don't want to be poor again.

I heard that you need at least in savings to take care of an unexpected bill with this one. I've heard one credible dude say the long slog thing but the paycheck thing came from an economic conference discussing 2020.

Jerry Nadler: If Senate Acquits Trump, ‘I Don’t Know’ if 2020 Election Will Be Fair

taxpayer leech nadler fully admits this is all about the 2020 election and bizarrely claims that if Trump isn’t convicted in the senate he will rig the elections

Of course we all know nadler is an avaricious calorie-hoarding racist as he directly contradicts Presisent Obama:

Progressives on Twitter think this is a dumb move by Pelosi... I disagree. Show America you can legislate while pursuing impeachment.

Good for America. Most likely seasonal employment tho? Regardless. His other actions negate anything good he can manage to get pinned to himself.
