I find this kind of activity to be extremely effective in simmering tensions, and it seems to be what's driving cooperation with the North.

It's not really publicized what they discussed there, but it was labeled as very successful. Interested to see what comes of his Chinese visit.

This could be seen as a slight defeat in that it was expected his first visit was to be on the southern side of the DMZ in South Korea.
