Looks like optics mattered more to the prior administration, rather than protecting the country from cossacks shitposting memes from their shacks in stalingrad.

Looks like aid from a foreign state mattered more to the prior administration's G.O.P led Congress, rather than protecting the United State's democratic institutions.

Isn't collusion the issue that the Special Counsel was supposed to be centered on the entire time?

If there's no collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, I don't think there's enough political will to remove Trump over a collateral charge like obstruction of justice.

Mueller had a pretty broad brush when he got appointed.

The central theme was collusion, but he was granted the right to investigate anything that came up during the course of his investigation into collusion. So it's pretty reasonable, with how dirty Trump's entire administration is, that he would veer off into other illegal activities before honing in on the collusion charges.

Thats like the patriot act. Just because you call a statement "hurr durr muh russia" statement doesnt mean it actually accomplishes that purpose.
