Wagner are known for hammer executions of deserters/traitors

There has been similar videos from Syria, where wagers executed deserters (if i recall 2 videos of SAA deserters). Probably a bad idea to sign up to wagers if you plan to desert.

Ukrainians exchanged him over for like 3-5 of their sergeants Russia kept as POWs. Technically he was part of a merc group so Geneva convention rules do not apply to him (It's a war crime to exchange war prisoners who don't want to be exchanged as long as they are in the regular army on the pretext of their life being in danger if done so). On the other hand the only reason he joined was due to his distant family who lived or lives in Ukraine and him wanting to go to Ukraine to desert and then if possible join Ukrainian ranks and fight for Ukraine/Russia without Putin, during the interview you could tell he was telling the truth as he only had 2 years on his sentence or so out of 15-20 he was given.

But its war, 3-5 Ukrainian pows have been starving/beaten for the past 5+ months in Russian prisons also have families who apply extreme pressure on Ukrainian politicians/military officials all the time, still leaves bitter aftertaste how all this has played out in the end. No easy choices here.

The repercussions of this however in the future will be bad for Ukraine overall, convicts who are currently serving in Wagner group will now think 5 times before deserting knowing that Ukraine might exchange them and send them to be killed by a sledgehammer. PR triumph for the psycho Prigozhin.

I doubt they were nazis, just average people who voted yes to join Russia but couldn't afford to leave the city. Soon we will see them killed and tortured.

Meanwhile, Zelensky visited Kherson speaking about peace for Ukraine while Russa and USA are having negotiations regarding New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty in Ankara, Turkey.

Nothing is changing, but something that has an impact is happening and "kleptocracy" can't dodge it anymore. Which is good.
