Yeah, just saying "this doesn't excuse his actions" doesn't make your posts nothing but whataboutism

You seem unable to discuss the double standard separately from the "impeach or not" question, even though these two things are not logically bound together.

To resolve this issue I will simply ask which side has evidences and legal processes?

Is Biden publicly bragging about how he pressured the Ukrainians and got the prosecutor fired who was threatening his son's company... is that also "just business as usual, nothing to see here"?

This doesnt excuse Trump's behavior, but if his behavior is such a severe scandal that impeachment is considered over it, then Biden's actions on Ukraine necessarily should be a big scandal as well. The fact that they arent proves the double standard on the Democratic side and parts of the media.

That was US foreign policy and had the backing of Congress...kind of a big difference. Also, it's not his son's company lol. He's a high paying figurehead. He doesn't OWN anything in the company.

In one scenario, you use your personal attorney, confuse the hell out most of your diplomatic staff, and you don't tell anyone outside of your inner circle.
The other scenario you have the backing of the international community and Congress.

But yea, I guess those are totally the same thing.

if Don Jr was appointed to work at Burisma, and then future president Joe Biden asked to investigate corruption, the dems would be shitting themselves. You're all a bunch of clowns :P

trump didn't just "ask" though. he abused the office in order to pressure zelensky into doing so - have you not paid attention to the substance of the impeachment process at all?
unsurprisingly, the only 'corruption' trump cared about was that of his political opponent. meanwhile his own daughter and son are profiting from their positions they acquired through trump's own nepotism. you can't possibly be that naive, kid.

I'm wondering... does the USA employ the concept of "separation of powers"?

I partially agree with proccy: if Biden would ask to investigate Don Jr, my first reaction would be "what on earth does a politician have to do with investigations like this? Isn't this justice's responsibility?"

In my country, a prime minister was forced to resign a few years ago for exactly that. He was trying to influence a criminal investigation while he was in office, which was seen as a conflict of interest. The legislative branch should not get involved in the business of the judicial branch.

Lol.

Moral of the story: Trump supporters would not impeach him for any offense. They will make excuses like a battered wife.
