The most important thing about Kherson is that Crimea is dependent on water from https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_Crimean_Canal
For example, if you leave Kherson and get Crimean Bridge destroyed then you can starve out the peninsula and eventually have it.

Will be interesting to see what happens now. Who knows, the leaked nov 4th peace-deal might actually be true. Then again no idea how long that would last.

-US/Russia talking about backdoor negotiations
-Russia still putting 200k more forces on the front

Comparing what has happened so far to other wars, iran/iraq, as an example. This has been more of a theatre ran by bureaucrats than a war.
