Lol sure and that is the thinking that has led to Ukraine being a war torn hellhole with rolling blackouts and a trillion dollars + and counting in damages to critical infrastructure.

International law doesn't really mean much, and has been broken countless of times by all sides. When you study law, one of the first things you are taught is that international relations/law only holds if all parties continue supporting whatever agreement there is.
