NATO doesn't actively expand. it doesn't look for nations and invites them to join. it's a defensive military pact, not an economic union. sovereign nations can APPLY to join, and they have to fulfil a whole bunch of criteria in order to do so.

the ukrainian PEOPLE have decided they want to associate with the west. it's their right to do that, they are a sovereign nation. they realised that western democracies provide their people with freedoms and prosperity, opposed to russia's authoritarianism and poverty. history does NOT give russia the right to determine who other nations are allowed to associate with. yes, you can argue that russia thinks that, and i'm sure many in russia genuinely do, but that does not make it a valid argument.


Go tell the other side that surrounding them from all sides and placing all kind of weapon systems is defensive.

Maybe if you understood why said "sides" are doing so on their own accord after seeing how Russia respects the international law and treaties you'd be able to put together half decent debate.

"feeling", lol. even a lazy hack like you knows for a FACT that there is literally a 0% chance that NATO would ever try to INVADE fucking russia. not only because it has nothing to gain from it in the first place, but more importantly because russia has the largest nuclear arsenal in the entire world. any NATO attack on russia itself would mean the end of this planet. pootin knows that, every single halfway intelligent person on this planet knows that, and i bet even you russia bots do. it's nothing but an excuse. a bully trying to portray himself as the victim. a man who has murdered political opposition and journalists for decades, a man who has repeatedly invaded his neighbours, killing thousands of people, telling the world he's slaughtering ukrainians because he felt "threatened" - and the dumbest of the dumb repeat it as if it made any sense whatsoever, lol...
