Interesting take on the subject, with the prediction that automation and improved technology will
increase employment availability to an excessive level.

http://scaruffi.com/singular/sin114.htmlLol yeah, this thought process basically comes from the fact that we are all still working after the industrial revolution. The working hours from that time seem a bit strange, perhaps it indeed is the bias. It can also be a shift from working around the house towards buying services to do the work around your house.
We were able to cope with a 7000%* increase in production, and sell/consume it all. Creating jobs for over 80% of the world's "working capable" population.
To be able to do the automation shift, we'll have to do something similar, and make it durable at the same time. This time, we can't just produce more, without looking at the consequences.
