The Obama administration was setting the ground work for Ukraine back in 2014.. With a then vice president Biden.
Biden administration continues the plan formulated during the Obama administration.

You may have a valid point, But the global economical value of ukraine is a part of USA's portfolio at the moment.
USA paid off Ukraines Depts and is sending military aid.

This seems like a long term investment in the region by the united states, despite party lines.

This is a really good point. Bringing the two countries to the negotiating room will be a challenge.

Putin's health is in decline, according to a recent leak.

I heard it from my Singapore Chamber of Commerce partners in Szechuan and them via their ambassador partners in Beijing 3 weeks back.
Yes...he is not looking good.

Furthermore, i have a feeling Putin isn't going to live past 2023.

Like I posted earlier,.. According to a leak, Putin is having some serious health problems.

Putin battling cancer and Parkinson’s disease, leaked emails claim

This is what the leaked emails said: "I can confirm he has been diagnosed with early stage Parkinson's disease, but it's already progressing. This fact will be denied in every possible way and hidden. Putin is regularly stuffed with all kinds of heavy steroids and innovative painkilling injections to stop the spread of pancreatic cancer he was recently diagnosed with. -...

So, I'm not too sure, either, how long putin will be in power... And who will replace him..

I didn't search google. Just gotten news from my Chamber of Commerce. I did ask what kind of sickness, they didn't mention much, just saying he is very sick.
But who knows, it might be a ruse.

If he really suffers from pancreatic cancer, he won't live to celebrate Christmas 2023. But I'm sceptical of these rumors. Maybe I'm falling for the Kremlin's smoke and mirrors here, but to me, Putin looked a lot more healthy and also energetic in recent months and made a lot more public appearances than back in spring, when he was bloated, sickly and noticeably avoiding the public. It's totally possible that he was diagnosed with some sort of cancer (perhaps not pancreatic cancer) back in spring, but they found a treatment that proved effective and allowed him to recover (for now). In any case, he doesn't strike me as someone whose demise is imminent.
