Based on my very limited knowledge of the case, my guess is the murder charges won't stick.

But I'm not rooting for Chauvin to escape any legal accountability because I don't hate darkies.

Pretty much agree with this.. he should have got manslaughter

guilty until proven innocent was the jurisprudence principle applied in this case.

Its only manslaughter if you believe humans can go 9 minutes without breathing. Give it a shot.

No intelligent person can expect someone to live through this, that is why its murder. Nothing about this was accidental. The guy was even informed that the dude couldn't breath. He continued to choke him after he lost consciousness.

These opinions are why I think mandatory conscription should be considered. Will give realistic expectations of behavior of people in uniform.

You would have hung yourself in a cell during the Stanford prison experiment lol.

People keep saying this while there is video evidence with the murder actually documented in real time with dozens of witnesses.

You disagree with murder being illegal with your opinion.

This post is evidence that there are many Americans who will wish to let a police officer out of trouble no matter how bad he conducts himself. I don't understand those of you who deep throat the boot and cup the heel like this.

What was his motive for killing someone in front of 10 witnesses?

since you apparently think this was on purpose

Power trip. Basically "I'm a fucking cop, and I'll do whatever the fuck I want". I mean, there was a whole trial over this.

You actually believe this?

you think this guy 'murdered' someone in front of many people because of that? really

I do not believe this.

It's what drove him. Whether he started the whole interaction with the thought that "Hey, I'm gonna murder this guy because I'm a cop" or not is irrelevant.
The murder 2 statute in MN has this specific stipulation with regard to unintentional killing:

Quote (MN Statute Sec 609.19)
(2) causes the death of a human being, without intent to effect the death of any person, while committing or attempting to commit a felony offense other than criminal sexual conduct in the first or second degree with force or violence or a drive-by shooting; or

He "intended" to inflict harm upon him, using force beyond what is allowed according to MPD regulation. That's assault, which is the underlying felony which triggers the "unintentional" clause in the MN Murder 2 statute.

Why are you trying to argue about a case you know virtually nothing about with a group of people who spent weeks discussing that specific case?

Seems like you're a glutton for punishment

I wasn't following the case closely and thought it was a fuck the police verdict. So by law that was murder, not manslaughter 🤔?
