I do work in a hospital.

My coworkers husband is a pediatrician and got pulled in to do emergency shifts despite not working with adults in years.

My boss was placed on standby multiple times even though he hasn't seen an ER in 20 years.

Hell, they tried to pull lab workers to help run PCR tests for covid since the rate was so high for a while.
