The regime is Russia's government, not the Russian people. The Russian government is fascist, and is using actual Nazis (the Wagner group) to hunt Zelensky.

Most likely Putin doesn't give a shit even if all 150k die in Ukraine, most are students who run or give up and desert as soon as any real combat begins.
