alot of people watch Fox News in America. its not that Fox News is false, its just catered to a specific audience. its not false its just a version of the truth This applies to Russian State sponsored media just as much as it applies to Chinese etc. All news outlets are biased in some shape or form due to being (state) sponsored for the most part. Media in any country is typically not done to be informative but rather to sway the audience in a desired direction. This is why earlier in this thread I commented that in order to be informed you need to read shit from other countries sothat you have a more rounded view on a topic.

The BBC in england was generally considered a reputable news source. The current English government is looking for an excuse to close it down, as a consequence the BBC is being careful not to publish stories that will piss the government off. in this way its better to say that all news outlets have vested interests which determine what they can, will or wont release.

Finally, if you only read 1 newspaper or watch 1 news channel then you wont have a balanced, or rather, contrasting view of an issue. Better to watch Fox News and CNN, but then also read up on the news article from another source.

I think what he means is when american missiles drop, there is always an innocent casualty and that therefore american intervention, anywhere, could be construed by the families of the dead, as terrorism, but that said bombings are not packaged and released to the wider american public as terrorism, thus 9/10 of the people (in his view) are "supporting" terrorism.

if thats what he means its silly. MAYBE 9/10 people supported war after the 9-11-2001 attack. that dwindled over time and now 7-8/10 people or so dont support any middle eastern wars. no new wars at all really.
