i find steel cents sometimes metal detecting. usually by accident. they're just blobs of rust now. but i did once see a guy find a steel cent sandwitched between 2 copper cents. looked cool as hell, like a rust sandwitch



military loss has never been the issue. there are two "worst case" scenarios:

1. sensing defeat they cull ALL camps, 100k-500k depending on who's estimates you read.
1a. these are the lowest "castes" of society, expendable and basically livestock already to the regime
1b. this sends a message to all citizens these were the traitors responsible for the invasion, hardening the populace when insurgency hits.

2. they launch a nuke on first sign they're getting ousted, you miss 100% of the shots you dont take

large standing army with no food and tanks that are older than the soldiers running them
they wouldnt last 2 weeks in any kind of conflict

It's nto about whether or not we can beat them. Anyone would place their bet on yes. It's about the damage they can do in the meantime. Not just to the US but to nearby nations and their own people.

The strategic key issue is still that south korea's capital, Seoul, with its population of over 22 million, is within reach of the North Korean artillery. The US or China could of course defeat NK within weeks. But even if their nukes arent as ready as they want to make us believe, or if we can catch all of them with anti-missle defense systems, there is definitely no way of preventing their artillery from laying waste to Seoul.

The amount of aircraft and bombers required to take out all their artillery which is currently in range of Seoul at once could never be mustered in secret, they and the Chinese and everyone else would see it coming for a long time, most likely prompting a north korean first strike. So this is not a feasible solution either.

i agree with both of these posts entirely.

Am i the only one here that feel this was simply a story to keep us distracted? Like if something was to happen it would have happened already.
