Real problem here is she's a single mother. Literally all of those financial issues poof into air if that family has 2 incomes.

I watched the 1st 19 seconds of that vid. Her other problem is she's trying to rent a 1 bdrm apt. for $1600/month.

/e And she's paying for a mini van. When her marriage broke up, she probably wanted to keep the kid, and figured, she could... just make more money, to pay for things the court required her to have to keep the kid.

No matter how much you think you deserve something...you can't spend more than you make. Btw, I know for a FACT that California is overloaded with single mother places, that will help someone like her.

Depending where she lives that could be the norm. I lived in California and you could find places around 1000 even in some of the pricier cities.

I get annoyed when i see shit like that video because it shifts all of the responsibility of your life choices and failings onto someone else. Is it the bank execs fault that she's a single mother making little money? Is it his fault she didn't pursue a higher education? Is it his fault that she made choices leaving her as a single mother? Is it his fault that she lives in a city with a high cost of living? Does that lady take into consideration the probable scenario that this women probably qualifies for a lot of social safety nets?

The world is NOT fair... for anyone. There is one unalterable rule. You can't have a lifestyle that costs more than you make...period.
You HAVE to figure out how to make more...or spend less.

/e And I don't care who you are...we've ALL said...dammit, I'm a better person that that guy, but I'm suffering and he isn't. But that's how it goes.

/ee Btw, socialism is still not the answer.

Or like just not buying something that costs too much. Like smartphones. They don't cost anywhere remotely near $1000 to make. And there are cheaper ones.
Companies can only charge what the market will bear. OIf no one buys $1000 phones, they'll make them cheaper or charge less.
If no one buys games with DLC, they won't MAKE any more games with DLC.

The people HAVE the control, if they use it. The customer IS always right.

The representatives we vote for SHOULD be concerned with keeping a watch on the costs of things we HAVE to have... like insulin or epi pens etc.
For all the rest...just quit buying over priced things...and the prices WILL come down.

Yes our congressmen have to do their jobs. But so do the people.

But ya see there's people like YOU in the world...that think the president should be kicked out of office cause YOU don't like him.
So that means...Congressmen who want to get elected again, have to try to get rid of the president instead of working on the drug prices. Because there are a lot of people, that think getting rid of Trump will solve their problems.

It's a strange, strange world. Where even people from another country think they should have a say in what OUR govt. does or doesn't do.

watch the video, your 'point' is invalid.

also, the reasons trump should be removed from office are his crimes and his corruption. i don't 'like' merkel either, but i don't think she should be removed from office. i don't 'like' boris johnson, but he hasn't done anything that warrants a removal from office imo. just because YOU base your opinion on impeachment exclusively on feelings, while ignoring all the facts, doesn't mean everyone else has an equally anti-intellectual approach...

and no, i don't think that i should "have a say" - i'm not a congressperson in the united states. i have an opinion, but i never claimed or even suggested that i should be the one deciding it. your delusions are getting worse...

And the woman described in the video doesn't have a $1000 phone. She purportedly has the cheapest phone she could get at Cricket Wireless.

Note: I'm not using the video as a means to blame the CEO of Chase for the single mother status of that person. It's simply used as a counterpoint to Ghot's example of the guy in Pittsburgh working his way up to a VP of a bank. People have drastically different stages in life, and opportunity to succeed is not equally distributed.

Of course you added that last line in there because somewhere in your head you know socialism can partially fix this issue.

Nobody on this forum expects you to be honest about it though!

I was being honest about it. But nobody on this forum expects you to believe that.

He sent one email to Assange and forgot about it when the FBI asked him.

Obviously if he was convicted on 7 counts, unanimously, then what he did was very serious, considering how powerful his lawyer likely is.

Being convectes on 7 counts separate counts isn't liberal propaganda btw that is the non partisan laws that he broke. He did severely wrong things. Accept it. It has nothing to do with you.
