Naw bro. The guy asked a question and Biden didn't attack the question, he attacked the guy himself. I watched the vid, I saw no logic there at all. Biden just came unglued.

The point I was trying to make was... the Dems better get their base solidly behind one of the candidates, and i don't see that happening now, or in the future. They seems really divided about who they want for a candidate.

how, exactly, is that not textbook Trump?

every tweet has insulting nicknames. most allegations are just "witchhunts" or "hoaxes" in response to questions, aka lies.

and honestly the media is all running with the "unglued" and "Joe snapped" narratives, because they're used to a buttoned down democrat. i honestly thought despite clearly being annoyed he didnt get nearly as aggressive as the headlines suggested. he jokingly challenged him to a pushup contest (Biden standard) then laughed off not getting his vote. and, gasp, called him "jack"..... oh my...

Trump attacks other professionals, other leaders, reporters, etc., all the time. Very rarely if at all have I seen him attacking voters.

Biden trading quips with a crowd member is about as "Trumpian" as any democrat has gotten this entire cycle. He said the guy was too old, he said he didnt care about his vote, and nearly called the guy fat, all while dodging questions about his kid's business dealings.

just about as Trump as it gets. if Trump ever had the balls to do a town hall he'd react to crowd questions exactly like this, and we both know it. especially if someone had the nuts to try and drop a question on him about Ivanka/Kush/Jr.

this directly counters the logic of what got people excited about Trump. and its logic i agree with. democrats are falsely cordial, they want someone to show they can handle a real time back and forth insult war with Trump come 2020 main stage.

This logic is incredibly flawed.

  • First, the parties have different bases. A style and rhetoric which might appeal to Trump's working class base could very well turn off the college-educated and upscale-suburbian parts of the Democratic coalition.
  • Second, just because 2016 was an election where one party was looking for the most feisty, combative, inyourfacefuckyouall candidate it could find doesnt mean that the electorate in 2020 is looking for the same once again. Sure, the far-left activists who dominate the discourse during this early stage of the Democratic primary are looking for a warhorse to take on Trump in a mudslinging for the ages. But the majority of the rank and file is exhausted and mostly wants to just return to normalcy.
  • Third, a lot of the current Democratic branding is that they are the party of reason, science and ethics, that they hold the moral high ground on most issues. They have constantly been lamenting the damage Trump has been doing to the political culture of the country. Picking a crude Trump copy as their standard bearer would undermine all that.
  • Fourth, Trump has been doing this his whole life. Biden ran over a random citizen who was trying to rain on his parade, fine. This shows that Biden has fight in him, and that's a good thing. But it doesnt prove that Biden would actually emerge victorious from a year-long mudslinging with Trump. If the race came down to this, I would absolutely bet on Trump to be better at it.

I think what the Dems are really looking for is someone who's able to bring the fight to Trump without turning into Trump 2.0 in the process.

yes, as i said before Trump doesn't do town halls. he does massive arenas.

but let's for a second imagine Trump did do a town hall, and was asked about Ivanka's business, or stays at Trump hotels, or Jr's scandal with the Trump Tower meeting. or some similar thing to Hunter Biden. you really dont think Trump could respond similarly to someone he can clearly tell isnt gonna vote for him as Biden did here?

this seems well within Trump's character, and IMO it's part of the reason he doesnt do crowd questions, and prefers rallies or sit down interviews with networks.

my logic isn't flawed the Dems' is. they want a unicorn. they want a polite person to beat trump and that's not going to happen. the democrats are dumb enough to think we all want someone to smile while Trump insults them. that type of person is a cuck. america doenst want another Jimmy cuck Carter.

They also dont want a Democratic version of Donald Trump, lol.

"Not taking abuse from Trump like a cuck" and "refusing to fight on Trump's terms, at least not for prolonged periods of the race" are not mutually exclusive.

Every time I've seen him heckled, he's tried to make a joke of it. Watch that vid of Biden again... he was, MAD. Like when a dog shows his upper lip. I've never seen any president or presidential hopeful do that before.
Biden "looked" like he was gonna beat the crap out of that guy.

i think reality is far closer to what im saying than what you're saying.

Kamala Harris rose to the top 4 with literally nothing but empty catch phrases, pandering to blacks, and attacking Trump in such a vague and general sense it came off as vapid.

Then Harris is dunked on by Tulsi, who was dunked on by HRC in a completely Trumpian move to baselessly call her a russian plant. then half the democratic machine picks up the ball and runs with it with no proof. to a fucking veteran of 2 wars. just like Trump did to McCain.

Mayor Pete and Warren's exchanges were polite-ish, same with all of the warren-biden-bernie faux threeway bickering.

people tried early to get bumps by insulting Yang. and any criticisms were either "you're too extreme" or "you're too down the line".

democrats use "thats a putin talking point" as a stand in for any coherant argument.

the democratic infighting in 2020 is very similar to Trump's path through the GOP in 2016. there's one difference, they're being more polite. and they'll lose because of it.

"how would you beat Trump Mr Thesnipa? since u seem to have a lot to say".

im glad you asked, i would point out his infidelities in marriage, make him talk about women as much as i can, and people of other races, etc. then instead of screaching "racist, monster!" i'd sit back and laugh while he talked himself into holes. then id start in on his weight, challenge him to a foot race, make fun of his diet, give him a mcdonalds nick name. probably even start in on his kids and how shitty his hotels and casinos are.

getting Trump to talk himself into a hole was a good move in 2016. calling all of his supporters people who helped him dig the hole and bad people coming from a candidate like HRC was what made it fail.
