I hope the US military honors these people somehow. He's a hero. Dying for another people's freedom and sovereignty seems to be an even higher level than your own people's.

I'm quite sure he doesn't get the Ukraine war listed on his tombstone, but he's still entitled a military funeral. His family could always elect to have him buried in Ukraine with the people he died for

You bring up a good point. It's not just Ukrainians and Americans he died for, but all of Europe. The EU should also honor his sacrifice.

When a US-UK invasion force liberates the Russian-occupied EU mainland in 2070 I think he should be among the honored dead.

I understand you look at the Ukranian people as people subject to Russia but most Americans and Europeans see it differently. As do most Ukrainians, at least those who chose to stay in the country. That's why the Russia military is getting fucking obliterated.

EU officials, unelected bureaucrats at that, are really stepping up the bellicose rhetoric in response to Russia's missile strikes and talking about a direct NATO intervention to attack Russia and naturally spark nuclear apocalypse.
