They were first ejected from the January 6th committee hearing, then later illegally re-entered the capitol complex while it was closed after hours. Security was breached and they were let into the building by, drum roll, none other than
Adam Schiff, member of the January 6th committee and lead voice calling for the head of Loudermilk who led a legal daytime tour of the capitol on January 5th that Schiff got so hot and bothered about. Also rep Jake Auchincloss of MA was involved, whoever the fuck he is. They were apparently stalking around the officers of Lauren Boebert late at night while unescorted.

1) Stephen olbert Team Was Denied Press Credentials. Was Let Into Longworth Later In the Day by aide to Dem MA Rep Auchincloss
2) A little more meat on the bone about the seven persons associated with The Late Show With Stephen Colbert who were arrested by US Capitol Police for unlawful entry into the Longworth House Office Building.
3) Fox is told the team tried weeks ago to get credentials for the 1/6 committee hearings. The House Radio/TV Gallery rejected the request from the Colbert team out of hand because they are not “news.”
4) The issue never even went to the Radio/TV Correspondents Association, which typically handles credentialing.
In addition to a regular Capitol Hill pass, a special “overlay” is required by press who want to be in the room, etc., for the 1/6 committee hearings.
5) That said, the team could be in the office buildings if they were invited. And, in fact they were. Fox is told the Colbert team conducted interviews earlier in the day Thursday with 1/6 committee members Reps. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Stephanie Murphy (D-FL).
6) They also interviewed. Rep. Jake Auchincloss (D-MA) who is not a member of the committee.
Capitol Police shooed the Colbert team away from the 1/6 committee area when they were spotted.
7) However, the Colbert group left the House office buildings at some point. Fox is told they were let back into the Longworth House Office Building sometime after 4 pm et by an aide to Auchincloss. The reason: the aide believed the Colbert group had other interviews to do.
8) The group apparently then roamed the House office buildings unattended for hours.
They were arrested near the office of Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) around 8:30 pm et and charged with unlawful entry. They were in jail for part of the night before being released Friday
9) This incident comes just days after the committee investigating the riot released a video of Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) giving tours of the House office buildings on January 5, 2021 – one day before the Capitol riot.
10) The committee and Democrats have portrayed these meetings as “surveillance tours” of the Capitol complex – ahead of the riot.
11) In an interview with Loudermilk on Wednesday, the Georgia Republican said he knew some of the people who came to see him on January 5. But not all. Another group of people glommed on with the persons Loudermilk knew.
12) The committee video shows one person on January 6th making violent threats toward House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) as well as Reps. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).
13) Loudermilk says he doesn’t know if the person on the video making the threats is one of the people to which he gave a tour on January 5.
