They do get something out of it though, I already said, they use them to counter Iran. That may become less important over time or more so, which will affect how much is sent. Israel probably could fund their own Healthcare system, but why would they if they don't have to? Why should US tax money go towards the million other things they spend it on? In the governments view, it is to further their interests.

Why do you bet I'm one of those? I don't have any love for Israel and I think it's creation was one of the biggest geopolitical blunders in history. That doesn't mean it doesn't benefit the US.

For me, and I want to be specific, Israel. I have a rather neutral stance on them.
They trained our Singapore military when we first started in 1968. And Relations between us have been extremely cordial for more than half a century, which is influenced by similar geopolitical state of affairs, being relatively small states surrounded by larger hostile ( Muslim) Neighbours.

I'm literally a 100% Nordic/Northern British blue eyed Protestant, Hitler would have worshipped the ground I walk on - our culture is near the top in terms of achievement and excellence but we still fall behind Jewish excellency. I mean maybe, but the US sends "aid" to tons of countries, it wouldn't be that strange lol. The money is not to "fight iran" it is to create a counterbalance to it in the region, that is more complicated then just sending weapons.

I just want to add something here, sometimes if you meet someone of an ethnic / Religion that is rather extreme you tend to label the entire race because of that one or two incident.

It happens and it is what it is. There is really nothing much we can do about it which is also the reason why I prefer the Real Politik way of conversing. Discussing religion is quite dicey in all occasions.
But we do take a piss out of Muslims every now and then.

But growing up in country that have heaps of Muslims surrounding me in Singapore and Malaysia, they are actually pretty normal and nice people to be fair. At least in my experience and in my region.
