Also a Sweden-Poland electricity cable went offline for unspecified reasons, not sure what’s going on there atm though.

Russia refrained from attacking Kiev, civilians and its infrastructure and concentrated mainly on donbass and luhansk. Ukraine sabotaged the bridge and did some other acts like explosions and fire on Russian ground. Some of them wouldn't be possible without the help of NATO and specially the US like the strike on Moskva. Russia is showing they can play the game, too, but they do it directly. They can attack all water and electricity frameworks all around Ukraine. Also, in MSM, bogus numbers are revealed of more than half of the rockets being intercepted. Anyone with a clue knows it's a lie.
Ukraine is better advised to progress their lines through occupied territories without attacking Russia.

Sure Russia can play the game of rapes and mass graves, you seriously need to do your arms inthere, right now.

Russia was happily shelling Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv and most other major Ukrainian cities for months during the early stages of this war. Back in April and May, they even intensified their shelling of cities and civilian infrastructure before these missile attacks leveled off. Russia did not "refrain" from attacking these places because they suddenly regained their humanitarian conscience, they clearly did it because they were running low on guided missiles.


The highly symbolic attack on the Crimean bridge of course required a forceful response so that Russia and Putin can save face. And in spite of the barbaric nature of today's attacks, we should not lose sight of the defensive posture Russia is taking here: they did not say "okay, we were holding back until now, but you triggered us into overwhelming you with our superior firepower", instead they said "this is payback for your attack on our infrastructure; if you do it again, we will shell you even harder".
