just because you can't put the genie back in the bottle doesn't mean he's going to curse the kingdom with 40 days and nights of rains of sand and salt and turn people into stone until someone collects the nine tears of esmesanti.
lets remember that up until very recently, our futurologists had this vision of a future of interconnectedness from social media and the information superhighway that would erode tribalism and rectify prejudices and bring people together. They thought that if information can be shared instantly on a global scale, the truth will out. Well clearly, those cunts never played a game of dota with spaniards or pinoys, because I never had a bone in my body against them until I had to put up with their shit. And as has been noted by all those crow-eating talking heads, the internet has instead formed echo chambers and clouds of disinformation and propaganda.
But was their vision really wrong? Just because we haven't reached it yet, doesn't mean its not going to happen. Whether we're passing through a phase or rolling downhill into oblivion- if I could make that call with certainty, I'd be a stock analyst. But I put my money on the optimist interpretation.
perhaps our difference of opinion is that simple, i'm very pessimistic on the subject. i don't think that a universal truth will emerge unless one side wins in an orwellian takeover that is ruthlessly enforced. as i dont see that as a realistic chance by any means i dont see it as a possible outcome.
countercultures will continue to cause ebb and flow in which political viewpoint is in control on a local, regional, and national level. the likelihood that we get 3+ parties instead of one is hundredfold greater, being conservative. and even that isn't likely. but if we ever get to 3+ parties "truth" will be even more deluded.
i still don't think that truth has been truly diluted, they just aren't bothering to publicly correct themselves. articles have historically always been untruthful, this the last page of the paper being rife with corrections. we can't blame them for not correcting themselves on a micro level when our attention spans have gotten too short for that mirco level of detail to be retained.
i also understand that you hold logic, rational thought, and truthfulness on high. but keep in mind most of your right winged brethren keep that armor on as a guise for their own biased demand for news they agree with. you're beating the drums of war in a line of soldiers just waiting to drop their lances and turn tail as soon as the cavalry charges. not a criticism of your action, but a sad reality. fake news is a term coined by those who love just as fake of news, its a hypocritical political action movement from the start. and i dont believe in intersectional politics with liars which ultimately wont change much if anything. i have better uses of my time, like arguing on jsp.

Yep, it is insanely stupid for Dem-allied media to frame it this way. They should stick to the narrative that the alphabet agencies only embed spies into criminal operations, and the very fact that the federal agencies felt a need to embed a spy is evidence of criminal activity within the criminal Trump enterprise of criminals.
Being a traitor is an executable crime. Trump and his base are traitors. We should be calling for right wing heads to roll, not this weak fucking semantics debate.
kek.
