And here I thought that the 0.5bil estimation was already shizo. Why should we sent NATO troops to Ukraine again?

I don't advocate sending NATO troops to Ukraine. But I have no problem whatsoever with helping them provide for their own defense.

Even if a prolonged attempt to keep arming them leads to escalation?

at what point do we back off to prevent a large scale clash between nato and russia ? either a full on article 5 WW3 situation , or a collective retaliation strike after putin decides to bang off a tactical nuke in ukraine because they are taking back the eastern regions ?

To be fair, I'm quite conflicted.

I don't care that Russia feels it has to escalate after finding out they bit off more than they can chew, so on the one hand, Ukraine has every right to say who they wish to associate with and Russia doesn't get a say in it.

On the other, while I completely oppose the idea of the US taxpayer funding war, the dollar has to collapse somehow. Might as well do some good with them before they do.

Ofc they have the right to defend themselves. The help should never be in a form of intervention tho. Makes kinda cautious when media is talking more and more about a direct confrontation with russia and people are like "yEaH LeTs gO".... like seriously? You've got kids and own a flat in an urban area which will be targeted second? Kids will be happy to build a snowman out of fallout, glows perfectly in the night, if they survive. Then I remembered the myth about white privilege, seems to be true tho: people are living too good for their own. They can't stop wanting to live shittier. Not like it was much different before war.

At what point does help cross the line into intervention to you?

I think once the US feels or thinks that the war have exhausted Russia's military , economy and morale to a certain point they will stop providing more help to Ukraine but just before Putin use a tactical nuke. So I thing the key point is timing and it is a very dangerous gamble.
The only country that can stop this war is not Russia or Ukraine , it is USA. When the US says it stops , it stops. And they are not only using their tax payers to fund this war, they are also using EU to fund the war one way or another.

This is call killing three birds with 1 stone.

Everything that includes troops/attacks of any kind under any circumstances that are not article 5/physical intervention/basically everything along those lines and ofc no expansion.

Let's keep it simple. Your whole point of view is based on how media wanted you to think and feel bout the whole situation like most people. Bet you didn't care much bout Russia before this whole hoax.

The bolded is patently false. The war would immediately stop if Russia says it stops. Conversely, after a certain point, Ukraine might have so much of an upper hand that they can hold the depleted Russia military to a standstill even without further heavy weapons from the West, so that the war could go on even if the US wants it to stop. (We're not yet at this point.)
