Check out the satellite image on Google maps for 35W exit 17B (and slightly northeast) in Minneapolis. The lanes the truck was on are the northeast moving lanes. The interstate would have been closed a mile before the police line on the bridge. He had to go down the on-ramp from Washington Avenue in direct sight of the crowd on the bridge. He wanted to teach them a lesson. He chickened out, thankfully.

Thing is though with a loaded gas tanker he had to chicken out before he passed the police to even stop that thing, that's why its just crazy to me.
