The numbers indicate that policing isn't a super dangerous job. They have about 1.5 more deaths per capita than taxi drivers (~10% increased risk) and it's less dangerous than being a trucker. If you can't handle it, don't join the police force. It really isn't that hard!

It’s not about training really. It’s just kind of a shit job because of the amount of crap they have to deal with. Vast majority of humans don’t like confrontations and that’s really their day to day.

There was a time when I was trying to be a cop, so glad that didn’t work out. I would have been stuck on the east side of my city which is like 80% black, windows boarded up, ghetto as fuck, shootings regularly, etc. To put up with that type of shit for like 60k? No thanks.
