1st requirement to join NATO is the country is not allowed to be in an ongoing conflict otherwise article 5 would be automatically activated. What Zelensky does is a symbolic act. Joining the EU is much easier.

Quite the opposite, please read what I wrote.
Putin knows he made a mistake attacking.
He expected to win the war, but he is losing.
He needs to be given a honorary way out.
UA joining NATO would give him a valid reason to backoff.
Russian people know that NATO Has nukes and there is no winner in nuclear war between two nuclear parties, so nobody will start it.
There was a reason a 45year cold war was really a cold war, and not the hot one.

I guess our Polish friends don't want their women to be raped, tortured, and murdered by the Russian army. Why is that something hard for you to understand?

Well the Polish have been quite successful preventing the Africans and Middle Eastern migrants from raping their women, so I give them a thumbs up to the Polish for this particular concern.

We run now and next time Russians attack eastern NATO. Putin already considers NATO a bluff.
We run again? Of course, we cant escalate after all, and who cares about some eastern members.
Then he takes Germany and France.
Run again? Sure, who likes Europeans anyway, we cant escalate.

It's hard to take you guys seriously when I hear shit like if we don't stop him he will take all of Europe. Like this is so hyperbolic and unrealistic that invoking this as a fear to get people to support further war repulses me.

Pro-war people will always create some hyperbolic or outright false sky-is-falling scenario why wars are needed, it's like the one historical constant.

The Polish every reason for this war to continue and with the Nordstream being blown, they are really really happy.

Polish of course want this war to continue. They rather Ukrainians pay with blood rather than have the imperialistic Russians creep up to their border. I understand it, it's selfish but from a Polish point of view the best option right now.
