I didn't state the video you posted is propaganda, talking in general. As for the video I posted from twitter, are you implying its Ukrainians with those rusty aks acting like Russians?

I pointed out the channel has less than 1K subs and that a shitload of AK47s were produced (google it).

AK47 is famous for being cheap and easy to produce, simple and reliable mechanism.

Suggesting Russia has nothing better to give to their soldiers than rusty old AK47s is ridiculous.

On paper yes, just like they are supposed to have that new tank Armada but reality is T-62 tanks are still being used by Russia.

Ak reliability is extremely overhyped, especially small components which fail before the receivers all the time.

They where produced in such numbers because at the time USSR had no other viable assault rifle and largest standing army in the world and since USSR was spreading its communist revolution they needed the numbers to export to countries that constantly where engulfed in proxy wars/conflicts.

Also aks are very cheap to mass produce, however its nowhere near "the perfect weapon" every CS kid makes it out to be:

A - It will still fail/go into bolt action mode (2nd due to bad design and friction)
B - its original rounds dive hard starting at medium range, and got forbid you attempt using the non-original Pe silencer which USSR/Russia never exported and has enough only for special forces
C - small components are as shit as anything USSR/Russia produces that requires dexterity to make, one of the worst offenders being its trunions

Still I never said AK was a shit gun, it was well ahead its time when it first came out, but over time AR caught up to it, and thats precisely the reason the new Ak-12 transferred to AR-15 like modular components.
