I'm european/austrian and not US-American. I don't have to justify their actions.
Ok fine, then name it. Russia attacks because of self interests in power. They want to expand and not fall behind vs USA, China and Europe.

Denazification, nato etc. is just bullshit.

And now russia cries because they're getting their ass kicked by the defenders. At least USA can win their wars, lol.

1) they aren't getting their asses kicked, the war has just begun. This will become a massive, prolonged war. All of ukraine will be drenched in blood, at the end of this ukraine will be a hellhole.

2) Ofcourse they are acting in self-interest. They want to regain historic russian cities, and they want to reduce Nato presence in ukraine. Also they want a buffer zone and to hold the funnel point. Has nothing to do with nazis, even though plenty of ukranians are nazis, including officials.

3) ofcourse your european/american w/e, thats where all extreme western-centric selective ideologies are from

Kyiv is one among the oldest cities in Europe and was founded in 482, while Moscow was founded in 1147

By that logic Moscow belongs to Kievian Rus, so Ukraine should invade moscow to but is back where is belongs. sorry. Also they were just a mixture of East Slavic, Norse, and Finnic. It really makes no sense to go back in time to justify todays actions.

Odessa for example founded by kathrine 200ish years ago, kharkiv, these places have a lot of connections to Russian history/culture, and people there speak only russian, even the ukrs. Even today if odessa got to vote, there is a high likelyhood it would lean Russian by the way. Look at a voting graph from 2014 yanukovich, he was voted by the south, the south wanted him. Yet the north forced him out. Russia isn't walking blindly into ukraine on a imperialistic adventure, there is much more to it.

As for kievian Rus, your simplifying something far more complex, your talking about predecessors, whos blood runs in all slavs, not russian or ukranian, but all.

ill simplify it for you, if for example people in kherson hated russians as much as you say, then kherson would today be like iraq was 2005-2007 which was bombings,sniping,ieds, sucidebombings 24/7. Russians would have to sit inside their bunkers.

How come there isnt wide spread insurgency? Daily bombings?
