the moment i heard the judge say in the beginning of the trial, that the jury will have access to the full bystander video, it was game over

any reasonable person who watches that video in its entirety and doesn't think what he did was wrong is delusional

It's not a surprise. Anything from Mistrial to guilty on all charges would have been fine. I laughed when they read the verdict.

Now the question falls back to "Will they use this as proof that the system is racist, and ramp up the riots to tear it down?"

Wow. Genuinely surprised they got 2nd degree murder. I know manslaughter was a slam dunk solely on the basis that they were willing to plead guilty on it. Cops don't take plea deals on weak cases. But wow.

Judging by how quickly the deliberation happened and the fact that they took went guilty on all charges, even if it goes to mistrial it's extremely likely he gets it again.

Why would they be. The right judgment was made based on the video evidence. That's what we call justice. You sound shocked that the world use justice to take actions.

It's only a shock to people who think this trial was actually going to yield objective results. The jurors were also on trial in the court of public opinion.
