he will take 10 years in the ass, because:
- it was a bad move, not existing in real training
- he acted badly for decades as police officer

Thus i see this with the law applied in my Country, maybe in US sentences are more polarized, like 0 or 20

But 10 years should be enough to calm down many people, i hope so.

Watching CNN, and it's kind of incredible how the media does not prepare the audience whatsoever that the verdict may not be what they want. Instead of discussing the intricate details of the charges, we just get generalizations about what is supposed to happen. There's not much nuance at all.
