Mate. This whole thing has been insane ever since Trump fired Mueller. I was all like, 'Can he even do that?' but apparently yes he can... and America just bent over and took it.

These assholes really won't give up. Does it seem insane to anyone else that Trump's top justice department officials are facing contempt and impeachment threats because they won't provide documents to politicians whose sole mission is to discredit the Russia investigation?

>Congress has constitutional authority to perform oversight
>but DoJ should be exempt because fuck Drumpf

"Yeah, like why even bother with oversight, it'll only ever complicate these things. We should just give the DoJ and every institution they oversee absolute authority to conduct and comport. Fuck the United States Constitutions." - IceMage, 2016

Once the indictments for collusion start coming out, it'll be 24/7 reality television awesomeness.

The kind with firefights in the streets. It'll be sad. Especially because no one in their right mind actually believes the Russia collusion story.

Well over a year into this game and all we have is a no body, a dude on tax evasion and money laundering, and 17 Russian randos who started a Facebook group. And now we're at the "Trump colluded with Stormy Daniels to hack the election" phase.

If I was Mueller, I'd be ashamed with these "investigation" results after a year. But idiots like IceMage and Twitter leftists around the world will still prance around giddy while singing "THEY JUST QUESTIONED TRUMP'S TAILOR! MUELLER IS CLOSING IN! DRUMPF IS DONE FOR!" for the 428th time this year. It's just sad now. Not even shitposting "SAD" levels, just 'the look of pity you give a dog with a bad back that's unable to stand up on its hind legs as it crawls over the the water dish' sad.

You're really not portraying the current state of the investigation honestly. The Stormy Daniels thing is a side note for the tabloids, not the meat of the investigation.

His first campaign manager is going to go down for laundering money for Russia.

His son in law is currently in the hot seat and might also go down for, among other things, taking illegal meetings with admitted Russian operatives.

Trump has already fired his legal team and brought in people with a history of representing troubled presidents.

There's more, but if you were interested you could just keep up with the story at a minimal level like I have and be aware.

The thing that makes this the most challenging to discuss is that collusion of this nature isn't actually criminal. They could try to pin something on Manafort and Gates, like the fraud charges. And they can try to pin people down for lying to the FBI, that works I guess. They can even arrest Russians for making Facebook posts (Although I don't see the criminal damages in spamming image macros and literal fake news articles).

The Don Jr. Trump Tower meeting is so minor that even Mueller didn't bother questioning the Russian lawyer. Unless they had a wiretap with people saying "Yes, tell Vladimir to hide the tape and we'll get soft on Russia after winning the election with his cyberman hacking power help and those evil Wikileak men".

The changes to the legal team seem normal as well. This gets more complex and from stranger and stranger angles each day. People are actually out to get him, so I'd want the leading experts on Presidential defenses.

http://watergate.info/chronology

June 17, 1972: Five men, one of whom says he used to work for the CIA, are arrested at 2:30 a.m. trying to bug the offices of the Democratic National Committee at the Watergate hotel and office complex.

August 8, 1974: Richard Nixon becomes the first U.S. president to resign. Vice President Gerald R. Ford assumes the country’s highest office. He will later pardon Nixon of all charges related to the Watergate case.

Collusion is a huge stretch. Mueller is trying to get Trump to commit perjury.

I agree Collusion is going to be very hard to prove.

I'd be fine with just getting him on money laundering, which he's been informally known to do for Russia for about a decade.
