The reason that outspoken oil excs are suddenly dropping dead is because they were against the war. LMK if you need sources.
Their airlines are mainly using leased jets mostly Boeing and Airbus and these are modern jets and nowhere near on their last legs. The problem they have is sourcing spare parts, it's reported they might start using aftermarket parts or strip existing jets if they have to.
Nice try but nothing you said counters the point I made: Energy prices have soared and Russia is profiting.
Try again if you like.
I'll say this really slow so maybe you understand it.
The. Entire. Economy. Is. Not Oil.
Even if we take their oil/ng numbers at face value, which we shouldn't because the ability to transport mass volumes to Asia doesn't exist, that doesn't mean shit if they can't trade internationally with those dollars, which they can't. If they can't source parts for their airline industry they don't have an airline industry. If they can't souce microchips for automotive manufacturing they don't have automotive manufacturing.
If your claim is "They won't run out of power and won't starve", then sure, their economy is fine, but to everybody with more than a handfull of brain cells economies are dependent on much more than food and oil. Specialty manufacturing is much more important to the prosperity of a country and Russia is absolutely fucked on making anything that needs tools more complex than a hammer and nails.

briefly, I would not say Russia is profiting. being excluded from markets is well, not profiting. I would say Russia is coping. just wanted to make the distinction.
For now, they are coping. Given another 6 months, they'll be basically fucked as they can't source replacement parts for literally anything and virtually every sector of their economy implodes.
