Maybe you should read step 4 over and over again until you realize you're wrong. Cheney was appointed during step 5.

How the fuck am I wrong, lol? The Senate rejecting this committee is their damn right, and they even have a very credible justification for saying that this committee was unnecessary.

The true reason is of course political because they know that the storming of the Capitol staying in the news cycle is bad for them, just like the true reason Dems wanted this committee is that it benefits them politically and not that they are oh-so concerned with the Republic.
At the end of the day, this whole thing was quite partisan from the get go and everything played out as expected considering this backdrop... until step 7 when Pelosi, after making a blatantly partisan pick for a GOP-reserved seat in Cheney, decided to veto a similarly blatantly partisan pick by McCarthy.

Who do you think the GOP would subpoena that would help their case?

Dunno, perhaps some cop from Capitol police who was at the other side of the building from where the breach happened, so that he only had to deal with a handful of peaceful protesters who unironically took a stroll and nothing else.
Just him saying the protestors he saw were polite and he didnt feel threatened would go a long way. It would of course be total bs from an objective point of view, but make for effective counter-propaganda.

Okay. That was fucking crazy. I watched all 40 minutes & it definitely shed some light on the degree to the madness & I'll admit seriousness of the situation.

Yes - and literally everything you see happening in that video - happened to police officers across the country for a year straight, (And continues to happen to this day) but was willfully ignored by the left and leftist media.

Funny how when the right does this once and once only, its literal terrorism that must never be repeated again - but when the left torches cities across the nation, murders police by stabbing them in the throat, burning them alive in their precincts.. nobody bats an eye.

The faux outrage that the left now feigns in wake of what the right has done on the 6th is infuriatingly hypocritical and in my opinion, proof that we live in a dual reality in this country that can never be reconciled.

Because it's the Senate that rejected the bipartisan committee....not Pelosi like you said. The original plan was to have 5 Republicans and 5 Democrats.

I imagine that the committee will subpoena people in the White House, Pentagon, National Guard, etc. Who do you think the GOP should subpoena to find out MORE information?

To avoid most of the blm riots all they had to do was refrain from shooting black men for a few days, unfortunately they didn't make it 24 hours.

They rejected what was destined to become a bipartisan-in-name-only tribunal on which Pelosi and Schumer would have run the show. Rejecting a particular (supposedly) bipartisan committee is not a generic rejection of bipartisan cooperation if you can give specific reasons for why this proposed committee is not needed. The Senate GOP did just that.
