Kavanaugh was found I believe 29 times for having given misleading or unclear testimony before the senate

I never developed a strong opinion on Kavanaugh's guilt over the accused, but the way he conducted himself during the process showed he was unfit for the supreme court IMO.

Did he defend himself too vigorously?

I have a hard time imagining a more upsetting situation. The Democratic party intentionally sabotaged his reputation based on nonexistent evidence.

I can think of plenty of things more upsetting than having a rough interview for a promotion.

I have to remember though, you have no respect for the highest offices in the land.

The Senate is an august body that we hold it to a high standard. The Senate "trial" was a complete disgrace. Feinstein had the time and opportunity to refer it for proper investigation. She opted instead to spring it last minute in the hope that spurious allegations and a sympathetic media would be enough to destroy a man's reputation and deny the president a symbolic victory.

It's astounding that you think I'm the one without a respect for high office.

One of us supports a literal reality TV star. Is it really surprising that I think that?

imo it's something that doesn't even have anything to do with his rapey past: his lies about his role in nominating anti-abortion judges during the bush administration - which, btw, is not the first and only time he lied about that to the senate (same in 2004).

that said, his lies about his drinking and his diary aren't particularly reassuring of his suitability as a supreme court judge either...
