There is no such thing as " a god". There is THE god. God for me is the name of our creator. The creator of everything and the only one in control. For me there is no such thing as god of "----" or "gods". Only God, the name of the one

"God", in all its forms and iterations across history and culture, remain centrally connected to death anxiety for all mortal beings. A conscious mind yearns for some kind of significance, meaning, or purpose to all the suffering and uncertainty that they experience while alive, and it is too painful to the psyche to accept that you (we) are not special, that there is nothing after death, and that there is no God(s), Oneness, or Grand Unified Consciousness on the other side of death.

Have you died and seen the nothingness for yourself first hand? Your life is completely meaningless if this life is all there is. Tell me, what is the point of gaining all the toys if those toys are just going to become obsolete in time?

Do you even remember when the iPhone first came out? Or how we now have AI ChatBots? Who knows what the future will hold long after you're buried underground.

Life has no objective, external meaning. We're a meaning-making species though.

Its not that simple, the big bang happened on its own and matter came from nothing, right?

We don't know if the universe had a start.

You know what? You're right. When you think that there is no God and that there is no life after death, that we just cease to be then yes life has no objective or external meaning.

I've noticed that those who do not believe in the LORD God almighty do come to that conclusion and you are right.

However, I've never met a believer who came to that conclusion because it is in God, through Jesus, that we find our true meaning.

You aren't the first and you won't be the last. Watch this 2 minute video where the voiceover came to the same conclusion you did.

Truly. Sometimes it can be fun to think about, but mostly we have to be present in the current moment and go play some Diablo II or something. B)

I've seen that video before, and it's a clever way to construct a video and message. Very shareable. I think it makes some false assumptions about the secular position though.

god is fiction
fiction, if believed thoroughly, turns into ones reality, for the better or worse
