Yemen is divided to half. Houthis are only one side.. when the other side feels that they can attack they’ll do it. The Houthis and their puppet master Iran wouldn’t like that to escalate to that point. IMO.

US essentially at war at this point without formal declaration, without backing by populous, with low approval commander, little to none MSM coverage. The joint operation missile strike into a sovereign country followed by hundreds of thousands of Yemen population declaring war. Not even a fabricated motive to catalyze US population. This will end well.

Meanwhile the shipping lane protection angle is complete garbage. You fix that by reroute and adding more ships to address the new bottleneck from stretching lines. Better we go to war though for 'shipping lanes'.
