I dont believe that podcaster is reputable. That video is recent or old? I feel its old. He has taken his personal dislike of Zelensky and is only providing one side of the story, without considering properly (and without carrying out any degree of investigative work).

However as has already been said, many times in this thread, he was elected on a mandate to ease relations with Russia but planned for war, years prior to the event (read: planned to defend Ukraine knowing Russia would eventually invade). This fact is easily proven if one had the mind to investigate it (or the will to go back over all the video's and links in this thread). The thought process here is they wanted to be independant and outside of Russian control and they took the required steps to do so (putting joining Nato as their go-to). in the short window when invasion was guaranteed there is another interview, as i understand it, which explains why invasion was downplayed, i.e. so as to prevent widespread chaos while attempting to repel the Russians.
