It's kind of easy to imagine people in this world who would assassinate Dugin for his positions. Whether they be inside Russia, or in Ukraine, or elsewhere. You seem to be pretending that everywhere outside the US has the same respect for the 1st amendment that the US does.
There are people in the world who would assassinate celebrities and politicians because their next door neighbor's dog was possessed by satan and told them to.
Its not hard to see coverage in the western media that's trying to
legitimize the murder of Darya Dugin and attempt on Alexander Dugin. What was Joe Biden's comment on it?

https://www.thedailybeast.com/darya-dugina-daughter-of-putin-propagandist-alexander-dugin-killed-in-car-bomb-reports-sayI mean, just plain false label, can't really call someone with next to zero media presence or control a propagandist
I think the vast majority of media outlets and the white house's press secretary / team figured that this wasn't something that should be championed as an accomplishment, unlike say killing the head of ISIS / Al Qaeda. So its not like there's a rush to embrace it, they can figure the same thing, its an attempted assassination of a civilian scholar and the killing of his daughter as collateral damage. And if its the Ukrainians, its a black mark against them
