I mean its pretty clear what the escalation is about. Russia has complained that Ukraine is using civilians as human shields, its what Amnesty International even called out Ukraine for. Now Russia is staging troops around the nuclear plant where its both Ukrainian workers as human shields and the nuclear plant itself being a huge risk. But the idea that Russia is shelling its own troops protected by human shields is fucking moronic. Wartime propaganda has never been this transparent or low effort. Its just Ukraine claiming that literally anything that could be perceived in a bad light in the conflict is somehow Russia's doing, so reflexively that they claim it even when it doesn't make a lick of sense.

ukraine has behaved paranoid well before the war started. it's how they act. either complain too much or just completely ignore something.

By now, I am of the opinion we need some of the so called toxic masculinity and family as basic unit of society from them. You guys are strictly catholic, old school, you don't need them. Western Europe is well ridden with femnazis, woke people and young men with unrealistic expectations from their life who never fought or worked hard even once in their life.

Amnesty, HRW, and UNHRC have always been a laughing stock for actual human rights activists and orgs. It just happened that Amnesty exhibited the exact same policy it maintained for many, many years, at a time where people are most interested in Ukraine.

Amnesty is known to be exceptionally critical of democracies. This includes the US, Israel, and now Ukraine, as the obvious examples.
And it is known to be exceptionally forgiving of opponents of democracy. This includes China, Hamas/PIJ/PA, Russia.
It is also particularly active and vocal in combating islamophobia. But when it comes to non-muslims, they claim they "can't lobby on everything" when only short statements are requested.

I've even placed bets on when Amnesty and the likes would condemn Ukraine. I'm only surprised it took them this long, but this was absolutely predictable for anyone who follows said orgs. This is absolutely in line with their political course.
