1. China warned the US not to escalate the matter.
2. Pelosi landed in Taiwan anyways while totally ignoring China, its warnings or political system. No talks were held.
3. China was angered and started those exercises.
4. USA and allies cry wolf in a meeting "how dare you?!" without offering any constructive solution.
5. Interested parties from the other side left because there was nothing to negotiate or discuss.

By the way, woke propaganda in the US works the same way. You can't argue with those people. If you ignore them for refusing to listen to your arguments you're the big baddy bum. Ukraine was also the same. For years, Russia seeked talks. The US doctrin=> there is nothing to talk. Well, then live with the consequences.
