I wouldn't be surprised if the script was already written quite a while back.
The United States is playing a game of cards hoping the East will react to China how Europe react to Russia.
I wonder how it will turn out. So far only the Japanese and the Taiwanese are staunch supporters. The current Australian government did some detour as compared to the previous Morrison government.
