Whether its in humans or animals, whether it's from a pharmacy or farm store, it's a dewormer by design. like many medicines it has uses outside of it's original scope. iirc viagra was originally designed to be a heart medicine.
what stands out to me from the tweet is "to treat or prevent". meaning that some of the people may have been on a steady dose of the medicine, rather than only taking it once contracting covid. that may be an issue, im sure it's not nice on the bowels to take it for an extended period of time. its also possible that in places it's commonly used, the 2nd and 3rd world, that people have much more rhobust bowels than us in the first world who eat far less harsh foods and drink more clean water for our whole lives.
i just thought the tweet was funny.
iirc in 2018, 100k doses were given to americans to fight whatever. idk what they suffered from exactly, but if bowel irritation was side effect on even 1% of those 100k, it would be listed on possible side effects on websites, or am I wrong?
this is just fox news post, which is trash as majority of their news.
but yeah, people were taking ivermectine to "prevent" covid, which is a bigger joke than ivermectine treating it. it's as effective in preveting covid as a mask. nada
it was proven to be ineffective in recent studies, but so were masks and vaccines.
it is funny though, yeah.
but tbh this is still by far one of my favorite "news" with people in winter coats, which was shared by everyone, including fox news

September Weather in Oklahoma City Oklahoma, United States. Daily high temperatures decrease by 11°F, from 90°F to 79°F, rarely falling below 68°F or exceeding 98°F.
doctors in hospitals later confirmed it was fake news, but it was never broadcoasted iirc
