I did read it, and the timeline fits with what I said.
Everything went as expected until step 7. If Pelosi has the right to appoint Cheney, the most anti-Trump Republican in Congress who represents an extreme minority position within her own party, to one of the GOP-reserved seats on the committee, then it's only fair when McCarthy appoints staunch pro-Trump people to obtain more balance and a fairer representation of the GOP perspective on Jan 6.
The subpoena thing would be good if both parties could use it. But I highly doubt that Pelosi will allow Republicans to subpoena effective witnesses for the defense; she will only pick carefully selected people who she knows will advance the viewpoint she wants to come out of this.
Maybe you should read step 4 over and over again until you realize you're wrong. Cheney was appointed during step 5.
Who do you think the GOP would subpoena that would help their case?

Why do the right wingers here keep talking "mostly peaceful" and "no one was harmed" and ignore the fact that they were LOOKING for pence, they just couldn't find him and when they DID find ranking officials they tried to break the door down ignoring repeated warnings right up until one of them was shot?
This was not peaceful, they were not "just standing around in the capital" they were literally looking to murder pence and failed.
Stop lying 24/7 and just admit that this was a coup attempt.
We already know they came with zip tie handcuffs, hand guns and knives.. were they to tie each other up for bondage fantasies?
They would say that an attempted assassination attempt where the bullet misses isn't an assassination attempt. Intent matters.
