oh my, that's just awful music, sounds like the stereotypical spanish pop song to me. didn't bother to properly translate the lyrics though, maybe they 'save' it - to a certain degree...

Lyrics are ok, and that's what pretty much gave it success. But Manu Chao's more sardonic lyrical approach is much better imo.

And yes, that's garbage stereotypical latin pop. I posted it because it's a known song here and was relevant to the discussion due to it touching the subject of immigration, not because I personally like it, which I don't :D

Apparently the "lyrics" in this are propaganda recordings the Soviets used against the Wehrmacht during the siege of Stalingrad. I don't know if it's the actual recordings or not, but the USSR was known for using these kind of psychological warfare techniques against its enemies.

all good, just a matter of taste anyway. also, there are much worse genres than latin pop, google 'schlager music'. don't want to post it here because you couldn't be further away from 'political music' than that...
