It's probably more cringy if it's your native language. I don't enjoy all their music, but they've made some bangers in their time.

Not to mention their live performances are crazy. Highest energy I've seen I think.

very true. it's a matter of taste anyway, so obviously no real argument to be had, it just surprises me how successful (by german standards that is) they are internationally.
from the little i know about them they seem to be good guys, and their live shows are said to be spectacular, but i have genuinely never made it through a whole song...
